Parents plea for doctors to help their obese baby

Parents of a seriously overweight baby in China have pleaded with doctors to help their obese daughter, who is so big she is unable to walk.
Cheng Lichao and his wife Feng Xiaochun took their 18-month-old daughter Dan Dan to the Hunan Provincial Children's Hospital begging for help after other doctors were unable to explain their child's dangerous obesity.
Weighing more than three stone, the little girl is more than double the standard weight for her age and height, doctors say.

However, her parents claim they have no idea how she came to be so big.
According to the couple, they have visited a number of hospitals but doctors have been unable to explain Dan Dan's obesity.

It is unclear whether there could be a medical reason behind her size. Her mother Feng said Dan Dan was a normal weight when she was born.
She said: 'She started to grow quickly from one month old. When she was one-year-old her weight had reached 15kg.'

'She has a big appetite. Each meal she must eat nearly a big bowl of rice and drink a lot of water.'
Feng said Dan Dan still can't walk, which is possibly due to her weight.
She added: 'There are no obese people in our family.'
The couple also has a five-year-old daughter, who weighs only 13kg.
